Grow Your Presence on Twitter!
5 Ways to Help You Get SEEN on Twitter!
If you are one of the hundreds (if not thousands) of people who feel their Twitter updates get lost in a sea of tweets - You're not alone!
Take the time to grow your Twitter presence!
It's not hard.
In fact, it's downright easy if you follow these 5 ways to get Twitter followers by problogger Darren Rowse.
1. Leverage your other profiles.
Do you have a Facebook account? How about a blog?
Use those accounts to spread the word that you are on Twitter! You can also include your Twitter account information on an email signature or a business card.
Link to your Twitter page, and link to it often!
2. Tweet several times a day.
The more active you are on Twitter the more likely you'll grow your follower base.
Every Tweet you do comes up on the Twitter Public Timeline – so upping your Tweet numbers means more people will publicly see you.
Also, try to stick to one topic at a time and create pauses between them to let others interact.
3. Be conversational.
Interaction will get you followers. Period.
Ask questions and get people to respond. Chances are one (or more) of the respondents will become a devoted follower.
It's also just as important to participate in other people's tweets - so try to reply to their questions and ideas as much as possible.
4. Provide valuable tweets.
Your tweets should have something of value. In other words, don't tweet about what you had for lunch.
Sure you can throw in personal tweets and have some fun with it – but unless you’re providing something useful to people (information, entertainment, news, education etc) they probably won’t follow you for long.
5. Take advantage of peak times.
Peak " follow" times are during U.S. business hours.
This is the time to interact with people and to send out good, informative tweets. Using Twitter during this peak time will increase your chances of someone finding you and adding you to their "follow" list.
Your time on Twitter is important - so make every tweet and every connection COUNT!
